Graduation is a rite-of-passage—the last hurdle of adolescence. And the question that will form in your mind as the toss of caps and hugs from classmates fade into a new beginning will be: “How can I understand the road I’ll travel?” Every life is littered with uncertainty, doubt, and lonely valleys, but don’t let feelings of insecurity stop you from dreaming. Proceed with your hopes and dreams, and if you get confused, God will direct your path.
The temptation of the future is to let circumstances guide us.
But circumstances are the puff of dreamy clouds. They move with the wind and cannot be trusted. The three guiding elements to look for in a successful life are faith, hope, and love. These are the values that simply and romantically hold the fibers of our dreams together. A life built around these three will never lose its way.
The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. — Eleanor Roosevelt
How can we understand the road we travel?
It is the Lord who directs our steps.
