Review:

Dee Henderson’s finale to Uncommon Heroes, True Courage, adds a twist to an otherwise military romance series.  FBI agent Luke Falcon and schoolteacher Caroline Lane meet when his cousin Mark weds her sister Sharon and adopts her eight-year-old son.  A year later, Luke and Caroline’s relationship is still uncertain when Mark, Sharon, and Benjamin disappear.  As a massive search begins, Luke and Caroline draw closer together, but will tragedy destroy any chance they have for a future?

Though the action begins later than many of her previous books, True Courage is one of Henderson’s best.  Thrilling plot twists, unknown enemies, and dangerous situations keep suspense high.  As always, her detailed characters steal the show.  Luke has been beaten down by his job where he does what needs to be done.  He’s not sure anyone can really understand him, even Caroline.  Caroline is tenderhearted and naïve, yet she possesses the inner strength to not back down from a challenge, be it loving Luke or doing whatever it takes to save her sister.  A fully developed setting and strong spiritual theme perfect the novel.  If you’re ready for adventure, find a comfortable spot and pick up True Courage. -- Katie Hart, Christian Book Previews.com

Book Jacket:

Dee Henderson wraps up her Christy Award–winning Uncommon Heroes series with a riveting story from the home front. When someone snatches his cousin’s wife and son, FBI agent Luke Falcon hunts the kidnapper. He has never worked a case involving family, and it’s tempting to let his hardened exterior weaken, given the circumstances. But he has to be strong if he’s going to bring them home. When the ransom delivery doesn’t go down as planned and the bodies start piling up, so does Luke’s frustration. He fears that innocent people may not survive this crisis, and neither will his relationship with Caroline Lane . But her rock-solid faith proves to be a far better shelter in the storm than all his law enforcement training and experience
