Review:
Kathleen Long Bostrom's two new books for pre-readers, Who Made the World?, and What Is the Bible? are cute, brightly colored, and creative. They answer two questions that little children may have: how was this world created and what does the Bible mean to Christians. Written in rhymes, the stories show cheerful pictures of children exploring God's creation. Children will enjoy the different animals and ladybugs featured throughout the pages.
All the responses to these questions are biblically sound, although, the response to the question "Who Made the World?" is as if it were God speaking to the children. Each of His responses are wholly reflective of God's loving nature toward His Creation.
The books are multicultural, with children of several different races included throughout the story. The text is short and simple, and a young reader (or listener) would enjoy going through these books along with an adult. Recommended age group would be 3-6 years old. Who Made the World? and What Is the Bible? would be great additions to any child's library. – Emily Moore, www.ChristianBookPreviews.com
