This book is a must read for anyone wanting to gain a deeper understanding of the misrepresentation of Creation and the folly of Darwinism; the author has made it especially clear so the staunchest of Evolutionists should have no trouble realizing that "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and all things."
Having taught in secondary schools for more than 25 years, Kenneth Poppe demonstrates a remarkable grasp of the subject matter at hand. In addition to holding a doctorate in education, the author is the executive director of the International Foundation for Science Education by Design, with its vision being to "reclaim science from the fallacy of Darwinism and other concepts of 'self-made' life. This vision will be achieved by supplying science education with cutting-edge academic and research information from a Design point of view, and promoting professional dialogue on the failings of natural Evolution." Such is the nature of Dr. Poppe's book.
The author divides the book into six parts, each having relevant chapters to support his stand, yet the chapters are numbered consecutively, giving the sound impression of life being a continuum from conception to a natural death.
I was impressed that Dr. Poppe allowed himself to "clean some tarnish off the name of Charles Darwin" in a slight way, stating that he "wonders how Darwin would feel if he knew the places his name has gone and how he would feel to know his name is now synonymous with atheism," since he had actually given credence to a Creator, and the author lists quotes from The Origin Of Species to corroborate his points. In fact, he urges the reader to avail himself of Darwin’s book to gain a better understanding of how followers of Evolution’s lies were able to carry it to the extremes we see taught in our public schools today.
Be prepared for a detailed, scientific reasoning for Creation and for the refutation of Evolution. But, Dr. Poppe does explain what he has written, in simple terms along the way. – Sharon I. Rideout, Christian Book Previews.com
Darwinism is a 150–year–old icon that has been propped up by unproven suppositions. The scientific discoveries of the last few decades are now kicking out the props.
Dr. Kenneth Poppe is convinced the icon is ready to topple. Providing extensive scientific evidence of Darwinism’s failures, this career biology instructor uses enlightening analogies and examples to explain the theory’s problems:
blind–luck assembly of the first cell
the laws of thermodynamics
hypothetical sudden mutations
Spiced with humor and helpful graphics, this popularly targeted text shows readers that—in regard to objections to evolution—the science is truly there.
