Frances Hodgson Burnett's Bio:
Best known as the author of The Secret Garden, Francis Hodgson Burnett was born in England in 1849, and began writing short stories for ladies magazines that contained details of life with romantic undertones.

Her other works include Little Lord Fauntleroy, Sara Crewe, The Lady of Quality, and The White People. Many of her works are available in the public domain online, including Project Gutenberg.
