Charisse M. Gilbert's Bio:
Charisse M. Gibert is the older of 2 daughters born to Dalbert & Cheryl Galloway of Houston, Texas in 1969. Her parents met while in college, married, and relocated the family to the suburbs of New Orleans while Charisse was a toddler. She was born into a household with one saved and one unsaved parent, yet her household didn’t lack the presence of God.
Cheryl not only taught her and her sister about having a relationship with the Lord, the necessity of tithes and offerings, and the importance of living according to the Word; but she modeled it to the best of her ability. As a result, her father gave his life to the Lord while Charisse was a teen; became a licensed minister; has been teaching marriage classes for many years and is a board member of a 24,000 + member church in Houston, TX.
By the age of 5, Charisse had given her life to the Lord and began believing God and praying (along with her mother and sister) for her father’s and other relative’s salvation. During her pre-teen years, she re-dedicated her life to the Lord and was baptized; at 18 she received the gift of tongues; and at 19, she accepted the call to five fold ministry.
While in college, she began teaching and praying for her dorm mates to get saved and filled with the Holy Spirit w/evidence of speaking in tongues. She led many young women in the prayer of faith as they received this gift. Her heart for young adult (college) ministry and women’s ministry developed at this time.
Upon graduating from college, she married Benjamin A. Gibert, a dual degree Stanford University grad school graduate and ordained elder. Having both graduated and married in December 1991, they moved to Flint, MI where they served as teachers in the local church. About a year later God spoke to the pastor and he named Ben as the co-pastor of the church. Thus Charisse became “the second lady” at 22 years old.
Currently her husband is not only a top executive with Daimler Chrysler and has been employed in the automotive industry for over 20 years, but he is the lead Elder and Vice President of DWO serving under Bishop Jack & Pastor Gael Wallace.
Elder Ben and Pastor Charisse Gibert have been married and in ministry together for 12 years and have 4 beautiful children.
