Henry & Mel Blackaby's Bio:
Considered one of the five most influential figures in todayís Christian church, Dr. Henry Blackaby has spent his life in ministry, serving as a church planter, pastor, and missionary. A vibrant speaker, he is the bestselling author of more than a dozen books with over one million books sold, including the classic Experiencing God.
A graduate of the University of British Columbia , Blackaby earned his B.D. and Th.M. degrees from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, and holds four honorary doctorate degrees. He served as president of Canadian Baptist Theological College for seven years, as president of the Canadian Southern Baptist Conference, and was on staff at the North American Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
Dr. Blackaby went on to found Blackaby Ministries International in order to help people experience God, and to provide consultative leadership in the life of the Christian community. Today, as president of Blackaby Ministries International, his primary message is an urgent call for spiritual leadership and revival across North America and around the world.
Henry and his wife, Marilynn, have five children and fourteen grandchildren, and make their home near Atlanta, Georgia.

A graduate of Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, Blackaby earned his MDiv and PhD degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He has been active in the Canadian Convention of Southern Baptists, and has served as a senior pastor for three churches, one in Texas and two in Canada.
An adjunct professor of theology at the Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary, Blackaby is currently senior pastor of Bow Valley Baptist Church in Cochrane, Alberta, which has been actively involved in community efforts. Highly sought after for conventions and events worldwide, he travels extensively as a conference speaker.
A former university physical education major, Blackaby actively enjoys sports such as hockey, softball, and horse riding in the Rocky Mountains. He makes his home in Cochrane, Alberta, with his wife, Gina, and their three children.
