Robert Jeffress's Bio:
As Senior Pastor of the 9,000-member First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, Texas, Dr. Robert Jeffress is no stranger to the controversy that often accompanies a committed stand for The Truth. A few years ago, Dr. Jeffress spearheaded a movement in his community to remove from the public library shelves, two children’s books that promoted the homosexual lifestyle. His efforts and those of his supporters were the subject of secular outrage and they were accused of promoting censorship and intolerance. The resulting firestorm garnered nationwide press coverage from media outlets including the New York Times, Associated Press, NBC television, ABC radio, Rush Limbaugh and PBS. The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), People for the American Way, The American Library Association and Americans United for Separation of Church and State denounced Dr. Jeffress as intolerant.

Dr. Jeffress is an unwavering believer and outspoken supporter of the essential truths proclaimed in the Bible. His courageous, Biblically based stance on abortion, homosexuality and the Christian faith is an inspiration not only to his church, but also to the hundreds of thousands of viewers who watch his weekly television program, Pathway to Victory. The program airs on more than 900 stations and cable systems in thirteen countries around the world. Just two hours northwest of Dallas, his thriving church has been described by Christianity Today as the new “Mecca” of evangelical Christianity.

Dr. Jeffress has served as the Senior Pastor of FBC Wichita Falls since 1992. He is a graduate of Baylor University, Dallas Theological Seminary and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of fourteen books, including When Forgiveness Doesn’t Make Sense, Hearing the Master’s Voice, The Solomon Secrets (2002 Gold Medallion Finalist) and I Want More!

He and his wife Amy have two daughters, Julia and Dorothy.
