Wayne Thomas Batson has spent thirteen years teaching Reading and English to middle school students. He has played an active role in the Strategic Reading Program in his home state of Maryland.

Wayne and his wife have four young children. He graduated from the University of Maryland - College Park and has a graduate degree in Counseling.
