Virginia Todd Holeman's Bio:
Dr. Virginia Todd Holeman joined the Asbury Theological Seminary faculty in 1995 and currently serves as professor of counseling and associate dean of the School of Theology. She previously taught at Ashland Theological Seminary and Kent State University.
Holeman is a licensed psychologist in Ohio and a licensed marriage and family therapist in Kentucky. She is also a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and has extensive experience leading workshops and seminars around the country.
Prior to joining the Asbury faculty, Holeman partnered with a long-time colleague at the New Life Family Ministries in Akron, Ohio, where she served as a full-time staff counselor, extra-time administrator and counselor-in-training instructor.
Although she has extensive experience in marriage and family therapy, Holemanís passion is the resolution through forgiveness of issues of interpersonal betrayal, and she is part of a growing body of professional counselors who are reintroducing forgiveness as a viable concept outside theological spheres.
Holeman makes periodic contributions to professional journals and speaks frequently at churches, conferences and universities on topics of forgiveness and family.
