Dr. Gary Chapman's Bio:
Gary Chapman is a renowned marriage counselor and director of marriage seminars. He also serves as senior associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. His premier book in the series, The Five Love Languages, has topped the Publisher’s Weekly bestsellers chart for 10 years, and has sold more than two million copies. He is the author of numerous additional books, including The World’s Easiest Guide to Family Relationships, The Other Side of Love, Five Signs of a Loving Family, Toward a Growing Marriage, and Hope for the Separated. He has coauthored The Five Love Languages of Children and Parenting Your Adult Child with Dr. Ross Campbell.
In his newest book The Five Love Languages, Men’s Edition: How to Express Heartfelt Commitment to Your Mate, (May 04) Chapman puts his background and experiences into play to deliver powerful insights to expressing and feeling love. Using examples of real-life relationships, he enlightens your audience by demonstrating how couples throughout the country have employed his tools to enrich and fulfill their lives. In fall 2004, Chapman will complete the latest book in the series, The Five Love Languages for Singles, a book that he has been requested to write for over 10 years. Chapman is also the host of a nationally syndicated radio program, A Growing Marriage. In addition, he has appeared on local and national radio and television shows as a marriage and family expert.
A graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chapman holds BA and MA degrees in anthropology from Wheaton University and Wake Forest University, respectively. He received MRE and PhD degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has done postgraduate work at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Duke University.
