Michael Horton's Bio:
Michael Horton (PhD, University of Coventry and Wycliffe Hall, Oxford) is J. Gresham Machen Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics at Westminster Seminary California. He hosts the White Horse Inn radio broadcast and is editor-in-chief of Modern Reformation magazine. He is the author/editor of more than fifteen books, including Putting Amazing Back into Grace, Too Good to Be True, Introducing Covenant Theology and A Better Way.
“A new reformation needs a change in our message and our methods,” Horton says. “Both our beliefs and our corporate practices need to change. Churches today that are focused on our own action and world-changing agendas need to focus on Christ as both the host and the meal that delivers transformation in a world wasting away. Feeling good about yourself and believing that you can do good in the world isn’t bad, but it puts the emphasis on you and you don’t have what it takes without Christ. Religious programs can create unique cultural centers, but the gospel is what creates a truly ‘cross-cultural’ community.”
