Ron Rhodes's Bio:

Ron Rhodes is a sought-after conference speaker, seminar leader, and author with more than one million books in print. As founder and president of Reasoning from the Scriptures, he educates Christians in the Word of God by creating Bible study materials and teaching apologetics at Dallas Theological Seminary, Southern Evangelical Seminary, and Biola University.

Rhodes is skilled at writing in easy-to-understand lay language and has written more than 200 articles for national publications. His The New Age Movement, Reasoning from the Scriptures with Jehovahís Witnesses, and Reasoning from the Scriptures with Muslims were named Gold Medallion Finalists and one of his most popular books, Find It Fast in the Bible, is a Billy Graham Evangelistic Association book-of-the-month selection.

In his new release, Why Do Bad Things Happen if God Is Good?, Rhodes probes unsatisfactory explanations for the problem of evil and exposes their shallowness, countering with a solid biblical perspective. By first examining Godís sovereignty and goodness, he demonstrates how to find purpose and meaning in every experience. In an effort to answer the many questions raised about good and evil, Rhodes explores mankindís free will, Satanís potential influence, Godís seeming silence on some occasions, His purpose in allowing people to suffer, His ability to engineer circumstances that bring good out of evil, and more.

A gifted speaker, Rhodes has addressed some of the largest churches in America. As a teenager, he and his seven brothers and sisters performed as a musical group on American Bandstand, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, Macyís Thanksgiving Day Parade, and many variety shows. He worked with a number of celebrities and came to know the Lord shortly after performing at Disneyland with the Pat Boone family.

Rhodes was interviewed about heaven, the lost year of Jesus, and what happened at Roswell for PAX-TVís Encounters with the Unexplained. He has been a guest on CNN, The 700 Club, Itís a New Day, The Harvest Show, 100 Huntley Street, and dozens of other programs. Rhodes has also been featured in numerous magazines, such as Christianity Today, Virtue, Charisma, Moody, Christian Women, Christian Research Journal, and Spiritual Counterfeits Journal.

Rhodes received his Th.M. and Th.D. degrees in systematic theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating with honors. He and his wife, Kerri, live in Texas with their children, David and Kylie.
