Emilie Barnes & Yoli Brogger's Bio:
Emilie Barnes seamlessly merges the values and principles of a deep abiding Christian faith into her ministry as a nationally recognized home-and-office organization expert, bestselling author, and dynamic speaker. She and her husband, Bob, are cofounders of the More Hours in My Day time-management seminars.
Barnes has spoken to women across the United States and Canada for more than 25 years, sharing her testimony of faith, encouraging them to seek God through study of His Word, and teaching creative ways to get organized. She was forced to refocus her life six years ago to fight non-hodgkins lymphoma—a life-threatening form of cancer. While undergoing cancer treatment, Barnes wrote Safe in the Father’s Hands and A Cup of Hope. Now in recovery following a bone-marrow transplant, she shares her story of hope, healing, and God’s amazing faithfulness in A Journey Through Cancer. Barnes is not only willing, but eager to share of her personal experience through illness, recovery, and beyond.
Barnes’ much-requested organizational secrets, words of comfort, and Minute Meditations® are published in more than 60 books, including The Twelve Teas® of Celebration; The Twelve Teas® of Friendship; If Teacups Could Talk; Fill My Cup, Lord; Strength for Today Bright Hope for Tomorrow; 15 Minutes Alone With God; and 15 Minutes of Peace With God. She has also co-authored six cookbooks and together, with Bob, has written several other books, including the very popular A Little Book of Manners for Boys and Minute Meditations® for Couples.
Barnes is listed in 100 Christian Women Who Changed the 20th Century (Revell). She is an enthusiastic media guest who regularly shares her creative ideas and personal experience with cancer on hundreds of radio and television programs, such as The 700 Club, Focus on the Family, FamilyLife, Christian Radio Magazine, Decision Today, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and Moody Broadcasting Network. Barnes is also currently featured in the one-minute national radio segments, “Keep it Simple with Emilie.” Emilie and Bob Barnes live in Newport Beach, California.
