David A. Rich's Bio:
David Rich is founder of Rich Ideas, a speaking and corporate education company dedicated to inspiring people to be “contagious” in their personal and professional lives. A leading expert on persuasion and motivation, he has addressed association and corporate audiences for 20 years.
Rich is best known for his Contagious™ Series presentations. “Contagious Selling” offers techniques professionals can use to sell to today’s less loyal, yet more demanding consumer. “Contagious Service” promotes effective customer service. “Contagious Leadership” gives managers and executives the tools needed to become the kinds of leaders others want to follow.
The focus of Rich’s work expanded in 2004 when he launched GraceCamp Ministries. With an emphasis on teaching Christians how to live in total peace and security, he now offers “Contagious Peace” and “The 7 Truths Seminar” presentations.
In his new book, 7 Biblical Truths You Won’t Hear in Church, Rich challenges believers to examine the tendency to adopt a “what feels right” approach to faith. Rich makes statements that prompt people to examine the facts—trying to live for Jesus will only frustrate you, the 10 Commandments were not given to be kept, prayer doesn’t change God’s mind. With no-holes-barred enthusiasm, he backs these insights with doctrinal truths of God’s grace and sovereignty. Though Rich’s style may be shocking, Christians soon discover truths that open the heart and mind to loving and trusting God more than ever before.
Rich’s previous books include How to Stay Motivated on a Daily Basis! (Kendall-Hunt, 1995) and How to Click with Everyone Every Time! (McGraw-Hill, 2004). He has also written articles for numerous national and trade publications, such as Personal Selling Power and Inc. magazine, and is a popular guest on local, regional, and national radio.
Since 1986, Rich has spoken to over a half million people in 44 states and four countries. He is listed in “Who’s Who Among Rising Americans,” and is one of only 465 Certified Speaking Professionals in the world, the highest earned designation in the speaking profession. Rich has presented to groups ranging in size from small community churches to the Fortune 100. His corporate clients include Goodyear, Coca-Cola, Sears, Gillette, Kellogg’s, PBS, and the U. S. Chamber of Commerce. Association clients include Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals, National Association of Manufacturers, National Association of Catering Executives, American Staffing Association, and the International Customer Service Association.
David and his wife, Brenda, have been married for 20 years and live in South Carolina with their three children
