Sharon Jaynes's Bio:
Sharon Jaynes speaks to audiences nationwide, inspiring them to break free from the bondage of past hurts by allowing God, not their circumstances, to define who they are. As vice president of Proverbs 31 Ministries, she is a featured writer for The P31 Woman monthly magazine and cohost of daily radio segments that air on more than 900 stations internationally.
A graduate of Christian Leaders Authors and Speakers Seminar (CLASS) and a CLASS instructor for others who feel called to the podium, Jaynes presents a message of hope and healing at conferences, seminars, and women’s events. Raised in a home of hostility and fear, she regularly shares her teenage journey toward understanding the difference between religion and a relationship with God. Jaynes explains how God took deep-seated feelings of inferiority, insecurity, and inadequacy and transformed them into an awareness of who she was in Christ. Though she suffered the trauma of witnessing verbal and physical abuse, God healed her emotional wounds and left beautiful scars and within five years of praying the sinner’s prayer, each of her parents also came to know Christ.
A gifted writer whose unique storytelling ability paints memorable pictures filled with personal applications, Jaynes invites women to take their marriage to a deeper level by Becoming the Woman of His Dreams. Based on countless interviews and a personal survey of hundreds of men, she shares the seven qualities most men desire in a wife, including one who prays for him, respects him, adores him, initiates an intimate friendship with him, believes he is second to none, encourages him, and sexually fulfills him. Jaynes takes a thoughtful look at these men’s responses as she explores the wonderful, unique, and God-ordained role a woman has in her husband’s life.
Jaynes’ other books include Becoming a Woman Who Listens to God, A Woman’s Secret to a Balanced Life (Harvest House); Dreams of a Woman (Focus on the Family/Tyndale); Ultimate Makeover, Celebrating a Christ Centered Christmas, Being a Great Mom Raising Great Kids (Moody); and At Home with God (RiverOak). She was a contributing author in Chicken Soup for the Sports Fan’s Soul, Stories for the Teen’s Heart, Stories for the Man’s Heart, and Intimate Moments with God. In addition, she has had articles published in Focus on the Family, Joyful Woman, and Decision magazines, as well as on Crosswalk.com, Gospel.com, Homebodies on-line, and other Internet sites.
An inspiring radio and television guest, Jaynes has shared keen insight and biblical wisdom on It’s Time for Herman and Sharron, The Harvest Show, Aspiring Women, FamilyLife Today, Larry Burketts’ Money Matters (now Crown Financial), and many other programs. Jaynes and her husband, Steve, are the parents of one son. They have been married for 24 years and reside in North Carolina.
